Sunday, September 1st and from Friday, September 6th to Sunday, September 8th 2019 in Chiavenna.
The historic gastronomic event of Valchiavenna is celebrating its 60th anniversary.
Four days in which the Crotti, the natural cellars built into the rocks and the good wine of the province of Sondrio the absolute protagonists are.
On these days, all wine cellar tours A, B, C and D are open. You choose one or more wine tasting routes, on which you then have the opportunity to take part in wine tastings while visiting the wine cellars of Chiavenna.
The Crotti are natural cellars, marked by the "sorel" (from the dialect "sor & agrave;", running), that is, a natural ventilation between the rocks, from which an air current blows, which keeps the temperature almost constant in every season , between 4 and 8 degrees above zero.
The advance booking for these wine cellar tours known as "Andem a Crot" & ndash; is officially open from August 1st, 2019.
