Palio del Baradello

Every year in the city of Como from the end of August to the middle of September the festival of the Palio del Baradello is celebrated.

Traditionally, the history of the city of Como in Barbarossa's time is presented. You can feel as if you were back in the middle ages at the pompous entry of Barbarossa into Como and at the festive parade with extras in historical costumes of the time >

30. August:   Ceremonial entry of Barbarossa, reception and swearing-in of the captains.

30. August:   Ceremony of votive candles.

from September 1st to 17th   concerts, performances and various   events.

Sunday, 18th September:   large historical parade with various performances.
