The historic Villa Cipressi , located on the southern bank of the headland, was originally the property of the noble Serponti family (1163), and in the nineteenth century it passed into the possession of the baron's family Isimbaldi (18th century).
The complex of the Villa Cipressi with the garden park was mostly built between the 15th and built in the 19th century. The beautiful botanical garden extends over several levels and offers a wonderful view of the lake.
Henry Andreossi gave it its current neoclassical shape in the second half of the nineteenth century, who also laid out the park. The name of the villa is probably derived from the cypress trees that grow in the terraced area to Lake sloping garden-park stand.
For several years the villa has belonged to the municipality and is known as Hotel used, after all, you can enjoy a cold Prosecco on the terrace admire the garden.
