In
Magreglio, not far from Bellagio, there is the tiny church of the Madonna del Ghisallo and the cycling museum of the same name,
Museo Del Ciclismo- Madonna Del Ghisallo .
The best-known and most legendary cycling greats left their gifts in the chapel of the Madonna del Ghisallo out of gratitude, mostly their cycling opportunities such as racing bikes, original jerseys and photos hang like trophies on the walls of the church- partly behind glass, probably out of fear of theft. So that, for reasons of space, a museum had to be built to accommodate all the memorabilia.
In 2007 the new cycling museum was opened. It sees itself as a cycling museum and not a bicycle museum. As a result, it is a museum dedicated to the men and women who have used the bike in everyday life and in competitive sports.
