Morbegno in Cantina

In the old town of Morbegno & ouml ;, after the grape harvest, the ancient wine cellars traditionally open on the last weekend in September and on the first two weekends in October.  .

This gives you the unique opportunity to visit 31 of the historic wine cellars that take part in the wine festival.

During a leisurely tasting tour through the wine cellars, you can see the young red & ndash; and white wines and the well-known red wines, such as the   Sforzato   or   Valtellina Superiore   .
There are also stalls set up in the alleys and streets of the old town , where you can find out about the local specialties and delicacies from the Valtellina and where you also have plenty of opportunities to taste.
Special delicacies from the Valtellina (Valtellinatal) are next to the   Veltliner wines  , the   Bresaola   deliciously mouth-watering dried beef, or the King of the Alpk & auml; se   Bitto   and   Valtellina Casera , apples, honey and much more.

Our tip:  
On site in Morbegno Signage & ldquo; Morbegno in Cantina & ldquo; consequences. There you will then find the typical small stalls where you have the opportunity to buy the pass to take part in one of the tasting routes. With the pass, each participant is given a shoulder bag in the color of the chosen route, as well as their own personal tasting glass. At the entrance of each wine cellar you will then receive a stamp on your route card, which entitles you to enter the wine cellar.

Choose between the various   tasting routes   and wander from wine cellar to wine cellar and try the wines and the delicacies of the Valtellinese cuisine.

This year you have the opportunity to put together an individual route selection (without route restrictions) according to your personal taste from 8 of the 31 tasting cellars.

PASS CATEGORIES

The full pass entitles you to wine tastings and tastings in every wine cellar for adults .

Reduced pass for drivers entitles you to a bottle of water and tastings in each cellar.

RED ROUTE AND YELLOW ROUTE

8 wine cellars for every single tasting route of DOCG labels, Riserva and Sforzati di Valtellina and Valchiavenna and above all the renowned red wines of the province of Sondrio.

The sommelier presents 16 wines on each route. Also in connection with meat, cheese or sweets according to old winemaking tradition.

on Saturdays from 11.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.  
on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

ATTENTION: on Friday October 11th only the RED ROUTE is open, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

GOLD ROUTE

The most prestigious route that demonstrates the excellence of Area in the historical area of the city of Morbegno. 12 wines are available at the 7 tasting stands with   many opportunities to try the Veltliner cuisine. In contrast to the other routes, all wines presented by the sommelier can be tasted.

on Sundays from 11.00 to 18.00
