Guided visits "Aperto per Natura" Alto Lario

Guided visits and excursions between art and nature, led by knowledgeable guides.
"Aperto per Natura" is a sightseeing program that is based on simple and direct way to discover the historical and artistic treasures of the Alto Lario (Upper Lake Como), which are often not   are publicly accessible, to be announced.

It is usually carried out during the summer months.   Description and detailed information see below:

1. The Sorico Parish and the Renaissance frescoes
In an area rich in history and charm, the San Miro Sanctuary rises on the remains of a medieval oratory. This church can be reached by a 20-minute walk on an old mule path, which we follow after visiting the church into the   charming surroundings.

2.Domaso and Vercana discover  
The parish church of San Bartolomeo in Domaso hides interesting works inside, related to the renovation of the paintings in   17th century. Century stand & ndash; among them a significant canvas painting by Giulio Cesare Procaccini. After the visit, we walk to Vercana. The church there presents us with a significant number of decorations from the area of Lake Como.

3. Discovering Dongo
While we are walking through the streets and districts of   Dongo, our tourist guide will tell you the story of one of the most important places in the northern part of Lake Como & ndash; & ldquo; Leading Actor & rdquo; in the epilogue of fascism due to the   arrest of Mussolini.

4. Between Pianello and Musso, in the footsteps of Don Guanella & lsquo; s
This pleasant route is a discovery tour of the picturesque Districts halfway up the mountain and meanders through the village of Pianello towards Musso. A visit to the Church of San Martino, which contains venerable frescoes, will help us to go through the stages that mark the life of Don Guanella on Lake Como. They remind us of the great work of this personality, saint since October 2011.

5. From the districts of Cremia & lsquo; s to the village of Rezzonico
The parish church of S Michele in Cremia preserves prestigious polyptychs and the famous canvas painting & lsquo; L & lsquo ; Arcangelo Michele e Lucifero & ldquo ;. This is followed by a pleasant walk through the districts halfway up the mountain to Rezzonico- a charming village that rises on a rocky promontory. It is characterized by the remains of a castle from the 14th century, arches, small alleys and old houses that lead to the lake below.

6. Between churches and palaces in Gravedona
Gravedona is one of the most artistic places on Lake Como, where you can admire the influence of different cultures that came through the ancient Via Regina road. The tour includes a visit to the churches of S. Maria del Tiglio, San Gusmeo e Matteo and Santa Maria delle Grazie.

7. From Stazzona after Brenzo
visit the church in Stazzona, where there are frescoes by Giampaolo Recchi and Fiammenghino. A simple and scenic path brings us to the characteristic town center of Brenzio and finally to the church of San Giovanni Battista. & Nbsp;

8.Germasino and Garzeno
Our route includes a visit to the most impressive town centers of the villages in the Albano valley- rich in tradition and cultural fusion, caused by emigration. In addition to visiting the beautiful church of Garzeno and Germasino, we will also see the old and rather unknown oratory of San Rocco. & Nbsp;

9th boat trip to San Fedlino
Traditional boat tour to the Oratory San Fedelino, the considered to be one of the first structures of Romanesque architecture in the Como area. It lies in the enchanting surroundings of the Pian di Spagna nature reserve. & Nbsp;

10. The villages of the & ldquo; Returners & rdquo;- Peglio and Livo
Visit to the church in Peglio, where the most famous frescoes by Giovan Mauro della Rovere (called Fiammenghino) are preserved. After we have reached Livo by car, a local guide will open the doors of the Church of San Giacomo Vecchia for us. In this church we can admire an extraordinary series of devout frescoes from around 1500.

11th walk between Gera Lario and Trezzone
Guided tour of the parish church in Gera Lario, dedicated to San Vincenzo. It offers valuable examples of various historical-artistic   epochs from the Romanesque to the Renaissance. & Nbsp; With our own car we drive to the parish church   in Trezzone, which stands on a charming church square with   a wonderful panorama. Finally, the   characteristic village of Aurogna follows.

The tours will be held in Italian and English.
For the above mentioned excursions ge and visits (except San Fedelino) this year (as of 2014)   no advance notice!
An Imago tour guide will definitely be at the meeting point at the specified time (please pay close attention to the dates, times and meeting points)
The contribution to the participation in the visits is   each 5,- & euro; per person (free up to 15 years and from 70 years)
For the   Boat tour to San Fedelino is the contribution for participation 15,- & euro; per person (no age restriction), including boat trip and entry to the oratory. For the boat tour, a reservation is necessary up to the day before.
The duration of the excursions/visits is approx. 2 hours, maximum 3 hours
On some tours, apart from driving from one place to another in our own car, we will cover simple routes with minimal inclines on foot.
We recommend that you wear suitable footwear and suit your clothes accordingly ; for church visits.
