Guided tour of Villa Monastero

Originally the property was a Cistercian monastery, namely a nunnery (1208).
Pope Pius the V l & ouml; The monastery was established in 1567. This is where the name of Villa Monastero   (= monastery)   comes from. Over the centuries, its numerous owners have changed, enlarged and improved the actual monastery structures. & Nbsp; The German W.Kees installed some valuable structural elements in the garden and planted numerous exotic plants. The villa is rich in works of art and surrounded by an enchanting garden.

The   tours are led by knowledgeable guides from the & ldquo; Gruppo Guide Lecco & ldquo; conducted.
The guided tours are free during the special viewing days and are included in the entrance ticket price for access to the villa.
