I think most of us have seen this before walking past a statue in a museum. All of a sudden, you could swear she's been following us with her eyes; it's a little scary, but also very cool to imagine what would happen if that happened.
"The oldest and strongest emotion known to mankind is fear; and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown"; once stated the American HP Lovecraft, who became known as the "narrator of horror". Of course, the great Hollywood filmmakers also knew this and relied fully on scary and horror, because we humans are also very fascinated by it despite the fear and disgust.
The
exhibition from July 15 to September 2, 2009 in the arcade of the FUENTES shopping center attempts to address horror and fascination as part of the history of cinema.
In 4 subject areas, life-size film scenes from large Hollywoood productions can be seen, such as:
King Kong fighting a dinosaur,
Frankenstein monster , The Mummy,
Robocop Alien to name just a few.
The unbelievable idea that the stuffed animals and the statues suddenly leave their pedestals, are no longer exhibits and come to life in the here and now.
Experience the fascination of exactly this kind of unbelievable, wild 'what if action' that is difficult to resist.
